The Challenge
Platform set out to turn personal bucket lists into a shared, social experience. That meant secure multi-method sign-in, a fast location-based feed, heavy media uploads, and moderation tooling, all on an architecture that could scale smoothly as the community grew.
What We Built
Led the team in implementing JWT and Google Sign-In for secure access, a location-based post feed, and efficient file upload. Designed a high-performance server with Node.js, MongoDB, hosted on AWS EC2. Ensured secure storage with S3, optimized content delivery through CDN, and enhanced performance with Redis caching. Developed a ReactJs Admin Portal for streamlined user management and content moderation.
Outcomes
- Shipped cross-platform mobile apps in React Native plus a React admin portal from one product team
- Implemented secure authentication with JWT and Google Sign-In
- Built a high-performance Node.js backend on AWS with S3 storage, CDN delivery, and Redis caching for a fast, scalable feed
- Gave the team content moderation and user management through a custom admin portal
